Arkansas Hacker's Demo Overlay Node

This is throwaway2155's node into the Arkansas Hacker's Overlay Network^{(Name still WIP)}

This is still a demo. I'm trying to get people on board.

Yggdrasil

This network is inspired by the Hamburg CCC's ChaosVPN. They use tinc.

I've chosen to use yggdrasil as the main protocol. It's p2p, e2e encrypted, and uses standard ipv6 addresses.

I believe yggdrasil is an improvement over tinc. tinc is similar to wireguard in that you have to have another program configure it when you have a multioperator setup.

Yggdrasil on the other hand doesn't have this issue. If you have a yggdrasil node you can autonomously peer with this node. You should be able to peer with this node over tcp, tls, and quic using port 31337.

Now in the future if we do need gatekeepers for whatever reason (and we can all agree who it is) yggdrasil does support allowlisting who you peer with.

In ChaosVPN they have specific ip scopes for specific things (ex. hackers go in 10.1.x.x, hackerspaces go in 10.2.x.x, numbers are fake and for demo purposes) and this requires an "onboarding".

However with Yggdrasil your ip is derived from your keypair so you have limited control over what your IP is; removing the necessity of an onboarding.

Services in the Net

As of writing this is still a demo used primarily for getting other Arkansas Hackers onboard. I've had some people express interest and I'm going to dedicate this year to getting more.

When you peer with this node you'll get the rest of the network aswell. In the future there will be more nodes you can peer with directly in case mine goes down.

When peering you should be able to reach 201:3b16:76ea:dcbd:4e42:f93b:5a65:1921 which has an up-to-date wiki on the net and some proposals I have.
